FHA Guidelines Getting Short Sale and Foreclosure Victims Back Into Homeownership
Over the past few years while I would discuss with a client about the consequences of doing a short sale or a foreclosure, I would typically say it would be between two and three years before a homeowner would be able to qualify for a mortgage and that was based on current mortgage guidelines at the time. But now, due to recent changes with FHA guidelines, that two to three year waiting period could be shortened greatly.
